In the winter of 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in St. Louis, leaving a family to grapple with a sudden and tragic loss. On the evening of Tuesday, January 12th, 31-year-old Darris Pierson was in the 2900 block of Samuel Shepard Drive when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. near the intersection with T.E. Huntley Avenue.
