In the early morning hours of a late November day, the life of 27-year-old Sandra Kay Daniels was tragically cut short in Greenville, Mississippi. On Friday, November 29, 2024, a shooting incident unfolded in the 2400 block of Highway 82 East, near the Alon gas station, that would leave one person dead and another injured.
Responding to a call just after 2:30 a.m., Greenville Police officers arrived at Delta Health Systems where they found two victims of the shooting receiving treatment
in the Emergency Room. Both Daniels and a male companion had been transported to the hospital by a personal vehicle. While the male victim was treated for his injuries and subsequently released, Daniels succumbed to the severity of her wounds.
The Greenville Police Department has since launched an investigation into the homicide. Authorities have reached out to the public for assistance, urging anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers. A reward of up to $2,000 has been offered for any information that leads to an arrest in the case. As of now, the investigation remains ongoing, and further details regarding any potential suspects or arrests have not been made public.
