On June 8, 2024, in Greenville, Mississippi, 26-year-old Latia Wilson was fatally shot in the 200 block of Utah Street. Responding officers found her with a gunshot wound to her side; she succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter.
Authorities identified 24-year-old Tyredius Woods of Indianola as the primary suspect in Wilson's death. A warrant for his arrest on first-degree murder charges was issued shortly after the incident.
