On June 20, 2024, in Greenville, Mississippi, 33-year-old Chyniquia Johnson was tragically killed in an apparent murder-suicide. Police responded to reports of gunshots around 2 a.m. in the 1100 block of Cottage Drive, where they discovered the bodies of Johnson and Albert Lee, 32, of Cleveland, Mississippi, beneath a carport. Witnesses reported seeing Lee in the neighborhood prior to the incident. Johnson and Lee had been in a long-term relationship that ended a few months before the tragedy.
