Responding to a welfare check at 11:32 a.m., officers from the Greenville Police Department were met with a secured business. The Greenville Fire Department was called to force entry, and once inside, the grim scene confirmed the family member's fears. Both Robbie Walker-Grossley and her husband, 54-year-old Christopher Grossley, were found deceased, having suffered apparent gunshot wounds. The Washington County Coroner was summoned and officially pronounced both dead at the scene.
The investigation that followed, led by the Greenville Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division, painted a clear and devastating picture of the events that had transpired. Based on the evidence collected, authorities determined that Christopher Grossley had shot and killed his wife before taking his own life.
