On December 13, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Prince George's County Police officers responded to a reported shooting in the 3400 block of Pearl Drive in Suitland, Maryland. Upon arrival, they discovered 17-year-old James Fitzgerald lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
