In a quiet mobile home park on Morgan Street in Leeds, Alabama, the afternoon of December 18, 2024, was shattered by gunfire. When Leeds Police Department officers arrived at the scene around 12:55 p.m., they discovered a grim tableau. Inside one of the homes, 25-year-old Luis Enrique Herrera-Valenciana had been shot and killed. A woman, whose identity was not publicly disclosed, was also found suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds to her torso and was rushed to UAB Hospital in critical ...
