David Michael Hammons, a 64-year-old resident of Trussville, Alabama, was fatally injured in a violent carjacking and shooting on December 8, 2021, at a Shell gas station on Edwards Lake Road. Hammons was reportedly approached and shot multiple times during the attempted robbery, leaving him critically wounded.
