Trent Thomas Parkerson, 18, died on April 1, 2020, after being shot outside a residence in Trussville, Alabama. Police arrived around 3:30 a.m. to find Parkerson deceased in a locked vehicle on Happy Hollow Road. Steven Chase Lafoy, also 17 at the time, was arrested and charged with capital murder. Authorities report that the two teens, who were classmates and teammates at Hewitt-Trussville High School, were friends but allegedly argued over a theft.
