On August 1, 2021, at approximately 3:30 a.m., 29-year-old Enrique Edward Millan Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally struck by a vehicle while sitting in the middle of Queenstown Road near Trussville. Deputies had been alerted to a man in the roadway at 3:12 a.m., and shortly thereafter, a woman reported to 911 that she had hit someone with her car. Upon arrival, authorities found Millan deceased at the scene.
