On August 2, 2024, at approximately 5:45 p.m., 30-year-old Jonas Marice Calhoun was fatally shot in the 2500 block of Altos Avenue in North Sacramento. Officers arrived to find Calhoun with at least one gunshot wound; he was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
