Nikolay Popovich was one of the victims in a tragic mass shooting that occurred on September 8, 2001, in Sacramento, California. The perpetrator, Joseph Ferguson, was a 21-year-old security guard employed by Burns International Security. Ferguson embarked on a violent rampage that lasted approximately 24 hours, during which he killed five people and wounded two others before ultimately taking his own life.
