On June 12, 2023, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Houston police officers responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex located at 11960 Airline Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 19-year-old Celestino Alvarado inside a tan SUV that had collided with several parked vehicles in the complex's parking lot. Alvarado had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
