On the night of March 31, 2024, at approximately 11 p.m., 23-year-old Christensen Hill was fatally shot while walking his dog near his residence at the Co-Op Summer Street apartments in Houston, Texas. Witnesses reported that Hill was approached by two unidentified males dressed in black clothing; one wore orange-colored undergarments, and the other had pants with white stripes.
Shortly after the encounter, multiple gunshots were heard, and Hill was found unresponsive in the parking lot, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.
Following the shooting, the suspects fled the scene in Hill's dark gray, four-door Cadillac, which was later recovered by authorities. The Houston Police Department (HPD) has released surveillance photos of the suspects and is actively seeking public assistance to identify them. Investigators have indicated that this was not a random act, suggesting that Hill may have been targeted.
Hill's family, particularly his sister, Kristian, described him as a good and quiet individual who did not deserve such a tragic fate. She mentioned that he had attended church with them earlier that day and had recommitted his life to Christ. The incident has left the family seeking justice and answers regarding the motive behind the attack.
In response to the incident, the management of the Co-Op Summer Street apartments has taken measures to enhance security, including hiring a company to patrol the property from dusk to dawn. Residents in the area have expressed increased concern for their safety, with some indicating they will be more vigilant in the future.
