On April 28, 2024, a tragic incident unfolded during a Fiesta event at San Antonio's Historic Market Square, resulting in the deaths of 20-year-old Albert Cisneros Jr. and 18-year-old Mikey Valdez. The altercation occurred shortly after midnight near a stage in the 100 block of Concho Alley. According to San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) reports, officers on duty heard gunshots and observed Valdez fleeing the scene. As officers pursued, they witnessed Valdez shooting Cisneros.
