On May 13, 2023, 25-year-old Jorge Santos Morales was fatally shot at a car wash located in the 1200 block of NE Loop 410 in San Antonio, Texas. According to San Antonio police, Morales was in a vehicle with 20-year-old Edzon Rodrigo Rodriguez Luna as it proceeded through the car wash. An altercation occurred between the two men, culminating in Luna shooting Morales once. After exiting the car wash, Luna flagged down bystanders and claimed he had acted in self-defense.
