Alexis Jordan Rios, a 26-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically died on June 10, 2022, in San Antonio, TX. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound. Rios was found shot to death in the driver's seat of his vehicle while waiting to get paid for a job in the parking lot of an apartment complex on the southwest side of San Antonio.
Following the incident, San Antonio Police Department launched an investigation.
Four days after Rios' death, police detained Paul Terriquez Jr., a 21-year-old suspect, who was found with a handgun matching the caliber used in the shooting. Fingerprints from Rios' car matched those of Terriquez, and shell casings from Terriquez's gun matched those found at the scene. Consequently, a warrant was issued for Terriquez's arrest.
In December 2023, Terriquez accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the murder of Alexis Jordan Rios. The court proceedings took place in the 437th District Court.
