On March 1, 2023, 28-year-old Gerardo Garcia-Armendariz was fatally shot during an early morning altercation in San Antonio's West Side neighborhood. The incident occurred near a vacant home in the 100 block of N. San Ignacio Street, where Garcia-Armendariz was among a group of four men socializing.
