On a late spring evening in Newark, New Jersey, the life of 22-year-old Rajee Montgomery was tragically cut short. On May 27, 2017, Montgomery was fatally wounded in a shooting that also left a woman injured. The incident occurred in the area of 15th Avenue and Fairmount Avenue, where authorities were dispatched following reports of gunfire.
