In the evening of November 12, 2020, the life of 15-year-old Shamere DeCruize, a male resident of Newark, New Jersey, was tragically cut short by gunfire. The incident occurred in the city's South Ward, on Stratford Place, where police responded to reports of shots fired shortly after 6 p.m.
