On March 3, 2024, 19-year-old Jesus Gonzales from San Antonio, Texas, was arrested by the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) on a felony warrant for domestic violence-choking. The arrest took place near a restaurant in the 8100 block of Tezel Road, where Gonzales was employed. Body-worn camera footage later revealed that during the arrest, officers failed to conduct a thorough pat-down search; they checked his pockets but did not perform a comprehensive search of his person.
