On the night of August 11, 2024, 61-year-old Rogelio Valadez was fatally shot while working on his car in the driveway of his residence on Britton Avenue in San Antonio, Texas. The incident occurred around 10:20 p.m., when neighbors reported hearing gunshots. Upon investigation, a neighbor discovered Valadez lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his head and torso; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Despite the proximity of nearby residents, no witnesses have come forward with information regarding the shooter. One neighbor mentioned hearing gunshots and observing a man hurriedly leaving the area toward Britton and Commercial Avenues, but due to the darkness, they were unable to provide a detailed description.
