On June 18, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, 37-year-old Luz Aurora Gonzalez was fatally shot, allegedly by her 16-year-old son. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. at a residence near Delgado Street and North Hamilton Avenue. Police responding to the scene found Gonzalez in the front yard with a gunshot wound to the back of her head; she was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe her son used a shotgun to commit the act.
