On October 1, 2024, at approximately 2:40 a.m., 17-year-old Nathan Ockleberry was fatally shot in a parking lot at 12636 Research Boulevard in northwest Austin, Texas. Upon arrival, Austin Police Department officers found Ockleberry and another male with gunshot wounds; Ockleberry was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 3:00 a.m. A third individual later presented with non-life-threatening injuries related to the incident.
