On May 17, 2023, 19-year-old Aiden Kane Shaw from Kennesaw, Georgia, was fatally shot during a home invasion at the Walden Ridge Apartment Homes located in the 3000 block of Cobb Parkway in Acworth, Georgia. Shaw was found dead inside his apartment around 3 a.m. after police responded to 911 calls reporting a person shot and a possible home invasion.
