Jalen Parker, 24, a Black male, was shot during a dispute on the night of June 22, 2025, at the Bixby Apartments on George Busbee Parkway in Kennesaw, Georgia, a student housing complex near Kennesaw State University. He was rushed to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, where he died from his injuries. Kennesaw State University later identified him as a mechanical engineering student from Albany, Georgia, and shared condolences with his family and the campus community.
