On January 28, 2023, 44-year-old Demario Lockett was fatally shot in San Francisco's Potrero Hill neighborhood. Responding to a ShotSpotter alert around 8 p.m. in the 700 block of Missouri Street, San Francisco Police Department officers initially found no victim at the scene. Subsequent investigation revealed that Lockett had been transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to gunshot wounds.
