Adrian Lopez, 18, was fatally shot on August 26, 2017, in Chicago. He was one of the many young victims of gun violence in the city, where shootings and homicides were alarmingly high that year. Lopez was shot in the 3200 block of West 40th Place in the Brighton Park neighborhood. He was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck in the chest.
