Jeffery Demetrius ‘King Lou’, a 34-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on January 27, 2017, in Chicago, IL. The incident occurred during an argument in Avalon Park on the South Side of Chicago. According to police reports, two men opened fire on Jeffery after striking him to the ground on Stony Island Avenue. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy conducted the following day ruled his death a homicide.
