Gwaine Brown, an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 1, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago. Gwaine Brown and another victim, 29-year-old Calvin Choice, were standing outside a store in the 700 block of South Cicero Avenue around 8:15 p.m. when a gunman approached and opened fire.
