Tyran Evans, a 42-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on May 17, 2021, in East Garfield Park, Chicago. According to reports, Evans was standing outside in the 300 block of North California Avenue when someone fired shots at him from a vehicle. He was struck in the abdomen and arm around 3 p.m. and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
