Cedric Myles, a 36-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on May 17, 2022, in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning at a residence located in the 5300 block of West Van Buren Street. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Cedric Myles sustained a gunshot wound to his torso.
