On June 7, 2024, at approximately 7:45 p.m., 28-year-old Robert Abdelkader III was fatally shot while catering a pool party in the 800 block of East Greenleaf Boulevard in Compton, California. The event, attended by an estimated 200 to 300 guests, was disrupted when multiple shooters opened fire, resulting in Abdelkader's death and injuries to five others—two men and three women—who sustained non-life-threatening wounds.
