Kevin Michael Burrell, a 29-year-old officer with the Compton Police Department, tragically lost his life on February 22, 1993, in Compton, California. Officer Burrell, along with his partner, Reserve Officer James Wayne MacDonald, was conducting a routine traffic stop on a customized red Chevrolet pick-up truck on Rosecrans Avenue.
