On April 22, 2023, 50-year-old Wendell Lamont Mitchell passed away in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Calvin Hayes, Jr. and Linda Gail Mitchell. Described as a quiet, loving man with a deep devotion to the Lord and his family, Wendell was educated in the Chattanooga Public School system. He is survived by his two daughters; sisters, Tewanna Mitchell Conner, Darnetta Norman, and Glenda “Katie” Gardner; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
