On September 12, 2019, Darrell Hill, a 20-year-old male of African American ethnicity from Chattanooga, TN, was shot and killed on Dahlia Street. The incident occurred around 12:14 p.m. when Chattanooga Police responded to a person shot call. Upon arrival, they found Hill lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene by Hamilton County EMS.
