On the evening of December 19, 2025, authorities in Chattanooga, Tennessee, were called to a scene of violence in the 1100 block of Jackson Avenue. At approximately 7:00 p.m., officers from the Chattanooga Police Department responded to reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located the victim, an 18-year-old male identified as Wallace Milam, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel, including police and Hamilton County Emergency Medical
Services, attempted to render aid to the teenager at the scene. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital for further trauma care; however, the injuries proved too severe, and he succumbed to them shortly after arriving at the medical facility.
The investigation was immediately assumed by the department's Homicide and Crime Scene units, who began processing the area for evidence. According to law enforcement statements released following the incident, investigators were actively working to develop leads, but suspect identification remained pending.
