On December 1, 2024, 17-year-old Daremon Waldon was tragically shot and killed inside his home on Green Road in Chattanooga, Tennessee. According to his mother, Rhonda Waldon, Daremon acted heroically to protect her during the incident. When shots were fired from outside the residence, he immediately moved to shield her and was struck multiple times.
