On June 8, 2023, 18-year-old Demon "DJ" Floyd Jr. was fatally shot in Nashville, Tennessee. The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Hickory Creek Apartments on Vultee Boulevard. A witness reported hearing gunshots and observed Floyd lying on the pavement. He was promptly transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
