Death by Force

On March 17, 2024, 33-year-old security guard Maurice Thomas Jr. was fatally shot while on duty at Illuzion Bar and Lounge on Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville, Tennessee. Thomas was patrolling the parking lot around 2 a.m. when he encountered individuals attempting to break into vehicles. During the confrontation, he was shot multiple times and later succumbed to his injuries at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
