In the early hours of May 17, 2024, the life of 29-year-old Darrius Jamal Bergeron was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting at the intersection of Hart and Lewis Streets in Nashville, Tennessee. The Black male was pronounced dead at the scene. A witness to the event reported seeing Bergeron approach the passenger side of a white SUV moments before shots rang out. In the immediate aftermath, two SUVs were seen fleeing the area, heading towards Trimble Street.
