In the autumn of 2023, a dispute in Nashville culminated in the tragic death of 44-year-old Terran Frazier. On an October evening, in the 1200 block of Phillips Street, Frazier was fatally shot. In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, a wounded Frazier desperately sought help, approaching nearby homes for aid before succumbing to his injuries.
The investigation into the homicide led authorities to 22-year-old Donyae Wroten. Investigators believe the motive for the fatal shooting was a planned robbery that stemmed from a prior altercation between Wroten and Frazier. Following the incident, Wroten fled the state of Tennessee.
In a significant development in the case, a grand jury indicted Donyae Wroten on the charge of first-degree murder for his alleged role in Terran Frazier's death. At the time of the indictment, Wroten was already incarcerated in Louisiana on unrelated charges, including a parole violation and a drug offense. Authorities have announced that Wroten will be extradited back to Nashville to face the murder charge upon the completion of his sentence in Louisiana.
