In the fall of 2015, a 19-year-old male from Memphis named Cameron Selmon tragically lost his life in a burst of gunfire on the campus of Tennessee State University in Nashville. The incident, which occurred on the evening of October 22, 2015, also resulted in injuries to three other individuals. Selmon himself was not a student at the university.
