In the early morning hours of June 11, 2024, the body of 24-year-old Carlos Camaja, a Hispanic male from Springfield, Tennessee, was discovered by railroad tracks near the Robertson and Montgomery County line in the vicinity of Adams. First responders were initially alerted to a potential accident involving a pedestrian and a train, but it was quickly determined that Camaja had been shot to death and his body left at the location.
