Aabriel Cecil Lonnell Jones Jr., a 4-year-old African American boy, tragically passed away on June 9, 2015, in Memphis, TN. He was the loving son of Aabriel Jones Sr. and Lashontay Barnes. The incident occurred when Aabriel Jr. found a .40-caliber Smith and Wesson semi-automatic handgun that his father had left on the nightstand instead of locking it in his gun safe. While his father was outside working in the yard, Aabriel Jr. picked up the gun and accidentally shot himself in the head.
