In the late summer of 2016, the life of a young Memphis man, Jeremy Cholokaine Jackson, was abruptly ended at the age of 24. On August 25th, in a house located in the Oakhaven area of the city, what began as an ordinary day turned tragic. The male victim was with an acquaintance, 19-year-old Jaquavious Hudson, when a firearm was discharged, leading to Jackson's untimely death from a gunshot wound to the mouth.
