Death by Force

On July 20, 2024, at approximately 10:52 p.m., Memphis Police Department (MPD) officers responded to a shooting at the intersection of Beale Street and 4th Street. Upon arrival, they found 44-year-old Benjamin Murrell suffering from gunshot wounds. Murrell was transported to Regional One Hospital in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
