On the evening of October 5, 2024, 15-year-old Genesis Sarahi Medina Gonzales was fatally shot at Smith Springs Park in Nashville, Tennessee. She had reportedly asked a male acquaintance to pick her up from the park that night. Upon his arrival, he observed Genesis with two males and a female.
