In the tranquil Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee, the morning of March 27, 2023, began like any other at The Covenant School, a private Christian institution. Katherine Koonce, the 60-year-old female head of the school, was on a Zoom call at 10:13 a.m. when the sound of gunshots shattered the peace.
