On June 16, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in North Nashville, Tennessee, resulting in the death of 17-year-old Ebonique Farris. The shooting took place in the courtyard of the Cumberland View apartments on 25th Avenue North, shocking the local community and adding to the growing concern over youth violence in the area.
